These penguin kids are pretty wild! The older penguin just can't get enough of the ice slide. Again and again it hurtles down the slippery ice chute. And splash - it lands in the water. It quickly swims back over to the ice floe with the slide. Wait what's that cracking sound? Oh, the little baby penguin is hatching from its egg! It wants to join in the penguin family fun right away. Look how cute it is, waddling awkwardly up the slope to get to the ice seesaw.

The little Arctic wolf cub looks too cute. It already has fur just as thick as the grown ups, because it needs to keep warm in the Arctic too. But instead of being snow-white, its coat is cream-colored. That means it is still well camouflaged but its mom can spot it better. Look what bright blue puppy eyes it has! Come play with me!

What’s that rustling? Now a loud smacking sound. The cute raccoon has revealed itself.

It’s out hunting again and has probably found a treat. It looks so adorable that you simply can’t be mad at it. When it’s not smacking its lips, this nocturnal predator with its distinctive facial mask is usually quiet at night. Its gray fur provides perfect camouflage.

During the day, it hides in its tree den. The mischievous badger rests there until its next attack.

The giant mammoth may look a bit scary with its impressive size and long tusks, but don’t worry – it is usually peaceful. This prehistoric giant prefers to use its long trunk to pluck leaves from trees and nibble on twigs. If you don’t get in its way, you can become friends with this Ice Age giant, whose woolly, thick coat is the perfect protection against the cold. Ages 3+.

The researcher loves going on field trips. There is so much to experience in nature! That is why his rucksack is always packed and ready for a new adventure. Right now, he is travelling through the Asian jungle. He is looking for Asian elephants. He looks through his binoculars and scans the area. There – between the trees, something moved! He looks closer and sure enough: slowly, a baby elephant emerges from between the trees. The researcher holds his breath in excitement. He has to stay completely still so he doesn't scare it away! From 4 years.

The panda cub peers curiously out of its black shiny eyes. It stretches its fat head and wiggles its small, black ears a little. Was that something that it heard? Maybe it’s looking for its mother, the giant panda. Right now, she’s busy foraging in the bamboo forest. There are a few forests in China, where the panda cub feels at home. Just as well, because the little panda already loves to eat bamboo shoots.

Bei den Löwen gehen fast ausschließlich die Weibchen auf die Jagd.

The rockhopper penguin is well equipped to withstand the cold. It doesn’t mind the icy temperatures. Its dense plumage perfectly protects it from the chill. It shoots through the sea with powerful flipper strokes – hunting for fish. It proves to be a true professional swimmer!

Once it has its prey in sight, there’s no escaping. The rockhopper penguin is just as cute as it looks with its waddle on land: Here, it moves surprisingly skillfully as well. It balances over jagged rocks and steep cliffs. Impressive!

Are hippos supposed to be here? There’s nothing to see. Yes, there!

Only the small ears and nostrils peek above the water. The hippo dozes comfortably there, cooling off. The African sun can be quite hot. The gray giant therefore prefers to spend its time in the water. Here it moves almost weightlessly – and with that massive body!

It only comes ashore at night to graze on a meadow. It lumbers along with its heavy body on short legs. But don’t underestimate it. The hippo can also move surprisingly fast on land once it gets going. Watch out!

The meerkat stands still like a statue, keeping watch. Only its pointed nose twitches now and then to sniff the air. Was there something moving in the tall grass?

The other clan members dig eagerly for insects while this meerkat keeps guard. Brave!

When danger arises, it emits a sharp call to warn the others. But this time, all is quiet.

Slowly, it starts to get hungry too. Time to dive into the group’s activity. Maybe it will find a fat beetle?
