BIG, Bright and Beautiful

Shinobi 7 expands the screen real estate of Shogun 7 with the lightweight monitor-only functionality of the original Shinobi, taking it to the next level. With a calibrated peak brightness of 2200 nits, Shinobi 7 can be used in the brightest environments without the need for a sun hood or Log-to-HDR conversion for monitoring.

With its large, bright, beautiful, and lightweight display, the configuration possibilities are endless. It is ideal as a director’s or focus puller’s monitor, a program or preview display for video switchers, and a perfect solution for vloggers presenting themselves in front of the camera.

Camera Controls at Your Fingertips

Control your favorite cameras using the intuitive touchscreen on Shinobi 7, designed to give you quick access to the most critical camera functions. Focus on capturing beautiful images while making dynamic adjustments to aperture, white balance, shutter angle, and ND.

With the optional Atomos USB-C to serial cable, support is available for Z CAM E2 series cameras, providing direct control over all menu configurations.

The additional USB and RJ45 control ports on Shinobi 7 also support future expansion, allowing for more touchscreen camera control options as new features are introduced.

HDR in the Field

The Shinobi 7 display delivers an impressive dynamic range of 10+ stops in real time from Log/PQ/HLG signals. Combined with its unique HDR monitoring features, Shinobi 7 simplifies the complexity of shooting Log and HDR content and helps you replicate post-production workflows at the moment it matters most — while you are shooting.

With Adaptive Cooling, you can prioritize either reduced fan noise or maximum screen brightness, letting the technology take care of itself so you can focus on telling the story.

Built-in 3D LUT Box

In addition to Log-to-HDR conversion, you can use your own custom 3D LUT to output downstream to other devices or live feeds. Load up to eight custom LUTs at any time via the SD card slot and instantly switch between them to maintain your creative intent.

When used in selfie mode, the large screen acts as a perfect confidence monitor, allowing you to apply a LUT to your camera output and achieve your desired LOOK when recording pieces to camera.

You can even switch between different waveform, histogram, and vectorscope options on the fly with a single tap.

Stream

Enhance your video conferences using the optional Atomos Connect 4K to convert Shinobi 7’s HDMI output to USB, providing plug-and-play UVC (USB Video Class) output for streaming on your computer.

Easily deliver a professional cinematic look and elevate the quality of your video calls.

Continuous Power

With dual battery slots, you can hot-swap batteries during recording so you never run out of power. Shinobi is designed from the ground up to optimize battery consumption during monitoring, with both slots working together to provide all-day operation.

The dedicated locking DC jack input allows connection to on-set power supplies and can be used with the optional DC to D-Tap cable and V-lock batteries for field power solutions.

Pro I/O and Cross Conversion

With support for up to 4Kp60 via HDMI input, Shinobi 7 integrates seamlessly into any video workflow by enabling cross conversion between 4K HDMI and 3G-SDI signals.

Output low-latency video signals and bring HDMI cameras into SDI workflows — or vice versa — without the need for additional converters.

Factory and User Calibration

Shinobi 7 is factory calibrated to Rec.709 and also supports user calibration via the free Atomos Calibration software for ongoing accuracy, as all displays can drift over time.
