SONAX Rim Cleaner is guaranteed acid-free and therefore does not attack rims, brake components or wheel bolts. In reality, you can easily use SONAX Rim Cleaner to remove tar and fly rust.

Can I remove fly rust with SONAX Xtreme Rim Cleaner?
The answer is yes, since the product is acid-free, you are absolutely sure that it will not attack the car's paint. It is a cheap alternative and at the same time a way to use the same product for 2 different things. You get the same property as with the rims, the product changes color as soon as it works, then you can simply rinse it off with a hard jet or high-pressure cleaner. Then the fly rust is gone!

SONAX Rim Cleaner has a color indicator, meaning that when the brake dust has dissolved, it will give a red color to the rims, indicating that the product is ready to be rinsed off, or treated with a rim brush, depending on the dirt.

Instructions for use:

Turn the active foam nozzle to "Open".

Spray on the rim (best distance 25-30cm)

Let the product work for 3-5 minutes until the color changes.

Use a rim brush and scrub the rims, with regular use a rim brush is not necessary.
Rinse the rims with a hard jet, or in connection with a car wash.
